The 500 N. Brand building is situated in the midst of the Glendale central business district and is one of a number of office towers that were developed there in the late 1980s and early 1990s in that era's wave of Southland office construction. It is two blocks south of the Ventura Freeway and close to both the Golden State Freeway and the Glendale Freeway.
ING Clarion Realty Services will provide on-site property management services, according to Mike McCann, Irvine-based SVP for ING Clarion. McCann calls the property a value-added play for ING.
The property sale was brokered by Jay Borzi, Steve Silk and Stephen Somer of Eastdil Secured, who represented the seller. The acquisition adds to an ING Clarion office portfolio in Southern California that includes a Specialty Labs facility in Santa Clarita, the Arboretum in Santa Monica and West Hollywood Gateway.
