Global Group Logistics is using the industrial space at 1301 McDonald St. to store cotton bales en route to market, according to Bob Spletter with NAI Robert Lynn in Dallas. He says the logistics firm zeroed in on the 330,000-sf building because it's within two miles of its main operation at 2901 S. Lamar St. "And, we've got a better rate than our competitors," he tells GlobeSt.com, adding the space was being marketed at $2.40 per sf gross.
For the time being, the warehouse, owned by a limited partnership from Palm Desert, CA, is filled. Joe Doye with the Westin Group in Dallas represented the Global Group Logistics.
