BOYNTON BEACH, FL-Cornerstone Group's townhome division has broken ground for Preserve at Boynton Beach, a 180-unit gated residential complex on 10 acres at 1801 NE Fourth St. just south of Gateway Boulevard. John Barr, president of the division, tells GlobeSt.com the estimated construction cost is $35.9 million.
The complex will contain 15 three-story buildings with a total of 60 single-story units on two floors at the ends of each building and an aggregate of 120 three-story townhouse-style units in between. The end units are 1,045 sf, and the townhouse layouts are 1,739 sf. All units have garages, and the development includes a clubhouse, children's playground and park. Unit prices begin at $289,990, and Barr says approximately 40 are pre-sold.
The infrastructure on the former mobile home site is 80% complete, Barr says, and construction of four of the buildings is under way. He expects completion by January/February 2007. Boca Raton-based Quincy Johnson, Jones, Myott, Williams, Acevedo, Vaughn Architects Inc. designed the complex.
The townhome division is one of eight affiliated companies of Coral Gables-based Cornerstone Group. The division is currently also developing the Preserve at Miami Shores, Sonoma Bay and Marsh Harbour in Riviera Beach, the Preserve at Tequesta, Legacy Pointe in Miami Shores, San Remo in North Lauderdale and Vista Trace in Homestead.
