The project in the Highway 288 Business Park will be going vertical within three weeks, holding to a schedule for a May move-in, Walker Barnett, an associate with Colliers International Inc. in Houston, tells GlobeSt.com. The franchisee bought the five-acre tract in the Highway 288 Business Park in December from Clay Development & Construction Co. Based on current construction costs, the project will push $2.5 million to bring out of the ground.

Barnett says the three-year franchisee, which also has a 48,000-sf site along West Little York Road in West Houston, is scouting for a location in the northeastern sector.

"Hopefully, we'll have that finished in a year. We just started the site search process," says Barnett, who's been teaming with Colliers' vice chairman Robert S. Parsley in the search for sites. "It's a strategic decision. In running trucks, it's difficult to service from one location as big as Houston is."
