TORRANCE, CA-Luggage manufacturer TLC LLC has acquired a 92,000-sf industrial property that will serve as TLC's new headquarters from Pentel of America Ltd. for $9 million. The new owner has already moved into the building, which is at 2805 Columbia St.
Yasushi Shiromi of the Torrance office of Grubb & Ellis reports that the building will house the corporate headquarters and distribution operations for TLC, which relocated from leased space in Gardena and Santa Fe Springs. Shiromi represented the seller, with the buyer represented by Jerry Gillman and Larry Carlton of Colliers International. Gillman has since joined the South Bay office of Grubb & Ellis.
Pentel relocated its warehouse and distribution operations to the Inland Empire earlier this year with the lease of 159,436 sf of industrial space in Ontario. The company's corporate headquarters remains in Torrance.
In a separate industrial transaction in Pacoima, NAI Capital reports that Sardon LLC bought a 21,000-sf property on 37,908 sf of land at 10244 Norris Ave. for $3.27 million. Chris Richards and Bill Napier of NAI Capital's Westlake Village office represented Sardon, with the seller, a private individual, represented by Roger Mirzaian of Pacific West Commercial.
Richards and Napier also represented Sardon in the sale of a 16,534-sf industrial property at 7640 Burnet St. to the Mesica Family Trust for $2 million. The buyer was represented by Todd Lorber of Grubb & Ellis.
