LOS ANGELES-The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors has named SVP David Drummond of Colliers International to a two-year term as the president of the Los Angeles chapter of the organization. Drummond succeeds former L.A. Chapter president Craig Meyer of Trammell Crow Co.
Drummond has been an SIOR member since 1979 and has worked towards the title of president by being heavily involved in the SIOR since joining the organization. Before being named president of the L.A. chapter, he served as VP, chaired several conferences and speaker series and served on the membership committee.
As president, Drummond will oversee member meetings, host and coordinate the SIOR's national convention in the spring of 2007 and spearhead other social and philanthropic activities for the organization.
In 2005, Drummond received the SIOR award for largest industrial sale transaction in the US, in which both the buyer and seller were represented by SIOR brokers.The SIOR L.A. chapter is part of an international organization that includes more than 2,400 members in 480 cities in 20 countries on six continents.
