Peter D. Bean, vice president of GVA Thompson Doyle Hennessey & Stevens, tells GlobeSt.com that the firm, formerly located at the Pilot House on Northern Avenue in Boston, tripled in size when it signed for space over a Borders bookstore in Downtown Crossing. Bean says the 10-24 School St. site was chosen because of its flexible lease terms and the space's modern feel, which fit Cheapflights' image.

The space was previously occupied by Einhorn Yaffee Prescott, an architectural firm that leases three floors in the 27,000-sf building. Terms of the lease were not disclosed, but Bean says sublease space in the area generally rents in the low $20-per-sf price range. The sublandlord was represented by James R. Brady of Cushman & Wakefield.
