Meredith & Grew's Joseph Flaherty and Tucker Hansen brokered the deal between the owner, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and CIC. Flaherty tells GlobeSt.com that the firm originally started out taking about 19,000 sf in the building during the 1990s. It has expanded over the years as startup high-tech firms signed on because of its Kendall Square location and shared office-suite amenities. Currently, CIC provides office management and technology infrastructure to customers in an additional 28,000 sf in the building.

"Over the last few years they've just been expanding," says Flaherty. Terms of the company's recent lease were not disclosed, but he says the building generally rents in the mid $30s per sf.
