TCC's announcement did not detail the history of the firm in Ohio. The most recent news articles referencing a Cleveland office of TCC are from 2000. In 2001, several brokers from TCC helped launch the independent firm Ohio Realty Advisors, according to published reports at that time.

The principals and brokers of Brandon Wiant Converse Ltd. now will report directly to Anthony Long, TCC Central US regional director. With the acquisition, Trammell Crow Co. now has eight offices in the Midwest including Chicago; Schaumburg, IL; Indianapolis; Detroit; Kansas City, KS; St. Louis; and Minneapolis.

Robert Brandon and Allen Wiant founded Brandon/Wiant Co. in Cleveland in 1992. In 1998, Chandler Converse joined the firm, which specializes in tenant representation and corporate advisory services. Notable clients include Alcan Aluminum Corp., Linde Gas, CIT Group, Education Loan Servicing and First American. In 2004, the firm completed 1.56 million sf in office transactions valued in excess of $175 million.
