The Aces plans to remodel the structures at 1515 S. Indian Bend Rd. Situated on 2.3 acres, the buildings once housed a religious day school, according to Kris Martin with Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial LLC's Phoenix office. Martin and colleague Marc Tuite represented the seller, PGMC Investors of Phoenix.
When the day school relocated, the sellers put the property on the market. "We had plenty of activity on this, but no solid offers other than the Aces," Martin tells GlobeSt.com. "We knew whoever was going to buy this was going to put a lot of work into it." He says the buyer, represented by Joe Cryan and Mark Wilcke with NAI Horizon's Phoenix office, was dedicated and determined to make the property succeed for the school, now located at 7317 N. 61st Ave. in Glendale.
Martin notes the seller's original goal was to offer the buildings to a potential industrial buyer. "Instead, we ended up getting a different school to buy it," he adds.
