A Staubach contact tells GlobeSt.com that the facilities management initiative is being implemented at the suggestion of its clients. The spokeswoman acknowledges that Staubach isn't negotiating with other facilities management companies at this time, but adds that it's not an exclusive arrangement because the Aramark Business and Industry-Facility Services' platform only covers industrial and office properties. And, she stresses, facilities management of retail space is part of Staubach's plan as well. From the Philadelphia-based Aramark's perspective, though, it is an exclusive agreement, confirms a contact from its management ranks.

Staubach's step into facilities management targets existing space more so than ground up. The Aramark division, overseer to the inner workings of 1.6 billion sf of real estate, will be part of Staubach proposals on a going-forward basis, the local contact explains.

"Continuing to add value for our clients and Aramark's, the combination of industry-leading facilities management services and our tenant representation services makes a lot of sense for users of commercial and industrial space," Roger Staubach, chairman of the Dallas-based firm, says in a press release. "Both of our firms remain committed to freeing our clients to focus on growing their core business."
