Headquartered in Newport News, VA, Ferguson Xpress will open the new store at 12708 Northwest Freeway toward the end of this quarter. "The new location is in close proximity to a Home Depot and it's a big renovation area," tenant representative, Shawn Ackerman with Henry S. Miller Commercial in Houston, tells GlobeSt.com. "Most of their customers are contractors. Most of the contractors are in the area because there are a lot of older homes there."
Ackerman says Ferguson Xpress has no plans to lease more shop space in the area at this time. "They'll do one or two deals a year," he says. "It's a slow expansion, but a crafty one." The first store opened in fall 2005 in Kirkwood Shopping Center at 12100 Westheimer Rd. in West Houston.
The retail space was quoted at $21 per sf, plus net, while tenant improvement packages are offered at $15 per sf. Mark Sondock with NewQuest Properties of Houston represented the local building owner, A-S 76 Hwy 290-Bingle LP.
