Bishop Ranch is a four-building, 786,864-sf complex owned by Sunset Development Co. that includes dining, shopping and hotel accommodations. Sprint Nextel will be occupying a portion of Bishop Ranch 15 (1657 Alcosta Blvd.), which is also home to the headquarters for 24-Hour Fitness and the regional headquarters of Comcast.

The move is scheduled to occur at the start of October, which is when the lease at Equity Office Properties' Treat Towers is set to expire. The full-service asking lease rate for space at Bishop Ranch is around $28 per sf per year.

Larry Bell and Harry Schoening at the Staubach Co. represented Sprint Nextel. Bishop Ranch represented itself. Bell tells GlobeSt.com that Sprint Nextel was looking for the best economic package available that included signage rights and kept it centrally located for its employees.
