The office plaza at 8249-8251 W. Thunderbird Rd. got three offers during its three weeks of marketing, according to a contact in Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial LLC's Phoenix office. The nod went to a group of private investors from Southern California, who won the deal because "timing, price and closing probability. It was what the buyers were looking for," the contact says.
Linda Eppers, an independent broker from Anthem, AZ represented the buyers, Aureliano Ugolini, Grazia Ugolini, Waldemar Tolkmit and Brigitte Thompson. Grubb & Ellis/BRE brokers Eric Wichterman and Stan Shafer negotiated for the sellers, Edward R. and Janet B. Fowler, and Richard Guttman from Rolling Meadows, IL.
Built in 1998, the office complex is fully leased. Its tenant roster includes local professionals and businesses, including an insurance company, mortgage company and real estate professionals. The West Side property is located just off 83rd Street near Loop 101.
