Macerich has developed Lumenati as a separate brand for its collection of nine luxury retail properties in Arizona and California. The division concentrates its efforts on top-tier retailers like those who occupy space in the company's Lumenati developments.
Horton's experience includes 19 years in retail development and leasing, including 12 years in the greater New York City market. Horton founded Horton Realty Advisors in 1997 and since then has consulted for institutional investor owners of upscale retail properties from New York City to Houston and from Honolulu to Charlotte.
One of Horton's most recent assignments was the leasing of the Collection at Chevy Chase. The property's boutique tenants include Tiffany & Co., Bulgari, Gucci, Barneys New York Co-Op, Cartier, Dior, Famoso Bar Restaurant & Lounge, Georgette Klinger, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, MaxMara and Ralph Lauren.
Earlier in his career, Horton was director of leasing at Hines, the privately owned real estate investment management, development and property management firm. At Hines, he managed leasing for portfolio totaling 2.6 million sf of retail space, which included the Houston Galleria.
