Steve Kornspun and Ross Schneiderman from NAI Friedland worked in conjunction with NAI Hilco of Chicago. MJM Stone, which also operates a landscaping business on Richmond Place., has not occupied the 1.72-acre property as yet. NAI Friedland officials believe the firm will consolidate some operations to the Larkin St. property. MJM officials could not be reached for comment.
NAI Friedland also brokered the sale of 17-21 Bertel Ave. in Mount Vernon, NY for $1.1 million. Elevation Video and Wireless First is relocating from leased space in Manhattan to the 8,900-sf warehouse/office building. The firm, which provides high-end sales and rentals of audio equipment to the entertainment industry, is expanding their operations with the move, Friedland officials say. Peter Cokin, John Williams and Schneiderman worked on the transaction.
In addition, NAI Friedland's Cokin says WW Grainger has signed a long-term lease at 1143 Longwood Ave. in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx. The firm will occupy the 21,500-sf high cube warehouse building that is being developed by the Petrillo family of Westchester County, Friedland officials say. WW Grainger will invest several hundred thousand dollars into the construction of a large showroom, offices and other improvements at the site. The lease is valued in excess of $3 million. Tamerlain Realty Corp. of the Bronx also worked on the deal.
