HATTIESBURG, MS-BMC Capital LP has scooped up a 22-year veteran of commercial lending to lead its push into the Mississippi marketplace. The office becomes the 13th one in the BMC network as it forges plans with dealmakers in other key regions to join the shop.
Bart Haddad, previously with local firm CPB Commercial Mortgage, plans to hire three more loan specialists in the coming year to shore up the bid to claim market share. The Hattiesburg office at 20 Sunset Circle also will service the Mississippi cities of Jackson and Gulfport plus Mobile, AL and New Orleans.
"Bart is one of the most successful and best known loan originators in the Mississippi and New Orleans regions," says Jonathan Morris, president of a Dallas-based lending group on a fast-track growth trajectory. "Having Bart head BMC Capital's Hattiesburg office will give us a major head start toward our goal of becoming the Number 1 provider in the market." In striking a deal with Haddad to head the office, BMC gains "several new proprietary relationships," Morris adds.
With originators handling deals in all 50 states, BMC has been on a fast-paced growth trajectory since last year. Morris tells GlobeSt.com that the next launch will be in two weeks in Los Angeles. The firm is one of the leading providers of multifamily, triple net and commercial mortgages in the $500,000 to $5-million category.
