A spokesperson for the Chattanooga, TN-based development firm would not identity the tenant, nor would the firm divulge the estimated development cost of the Milford Marketplace venture. Other tenants that have signed on include Ann Taylor Loft, Coldwater Creek, Chico's, White House|Black Market, J. Jill, Jos. A. Bank, Blue Tulip, Tengda Asian Bistro and People's Bank. The property is currently 70% pre-leased.

The Marketplace will feature what CBL describes as "Main-Street" style architecture and extensive landscaping in an open-air pedestrian-friendly environment. Stephen Lebovitz, president of CBL says the firm has been active in adding lifestyle elements to its existing properties as well as pursuing lifestyle center opportunities in select markets.

Milford Marketplace is being developed by CBL's Boston regional office. The center will be located on a 13-acre site at the intersection of Boston Post and Woodruff roads. The center's architects are Allevato Architects Inc. of Franklin, MA. EMJ Corp. of Chattanooga will serve as the general contractor.

CBL owns, holds interests in or manages 132 properties, including 79 regional malls/open-air centers totaling 74.2 million sf. CBL currently has nine projects under construction totaling 2.1 million sf.
