WOBURN, MA-A floor covering firm that has seen a jump in business will more than double its size when it moves into 30,000 sf of office and warehouse space at 16 Everberg Rd, in Woburn next month. Business Interiors Floor Covering, which will relocate just a few miles from its current facility, will be the only tenant in the 43,676-sf building.
The firm hopes to later expand into the remaining space, David Gilkie, senior vice president with Nordblom Corfac International's Burlington, MA office, tells GlobeSt.com. The company also has the option of purchasing the property.
The new tenant has approximately 5,000 sf of office space, five loading docks and a location near highway access to both Boston and Route 128, Gilkie says. Details of the long-term lease were not disclosed but he says similar space in the Woburn area leases in the $7.50- to $8- per-sf range. Lease negotiations were handled for owner Yusen-Woburn Real Estate Trust by Gilkie. The tenant was self-represented.
