Northpointe sits on a 24-acre site at the northwest corner of Tippecanoe Avenue and Hospitality Lane. It is one of the largest office build-to-suit developments under way in the Inland Empire.

Wells Fargo has considered such a new building for years, says Cheryl Howard, SVP for corporate real estate and facilities services at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Now, according to Howard, "The timing is right."

Besides centralizing the company's operations, the new space "will be a visible reminder of Wells Fargo's commitment to the Inland Empire," Howard says. In addition to centralizing staff, the new space will accommodate the growth at the mortgage firm in recent years.

Opus West Corp. is the project developer and will own the building, for which Wells Fargo has signed a long term lease for 230,000 sf. Opus is marketing the remainder of the space in the five-story building for lease to other tenants.

Wells Fargo is expected to employ about 1,400 workers at the site, which is the latest in a series of office, retail and hospitality projects in the Hospitality Lane corridor.
