The city is seeking proposals for a mixed-use project, according to a spokesperson. It was previously a warehouse located in a residential neighborhood. The site is currently zoned M-1-2 with light manufacturing and industrial development uses permitted. The last time the city issued the RFP, it didn't receive any responses, according to the spokesperson.

The center consists of three parcels: 2120 West Lafayette Ave., a 38,842-sf area that contains a five-story industrial building; 1001 North Smallwood St., a 23,479-sf, single-story industrial building; and 2201 Mosher St., a 33,465-sf parcel with a single-story masonry structure. They are a portion of the area defined as disposition lot #1 in the Rosemont Urban Renewal Plan.
