Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but asking rates at the towers, which were completed in 1975, range from about $3 per sf per month on up. The building is owned by institutional investors advised by JPMorgan Real Estate.
The building ownership was represented by Patti Gilbert, Brad Cox and Jeff Lasky of Trammell Crow. Brian Davies and David Toomey of Cresa Partners represented the tenant.
The 2049 Century Park East building is one of the two twin 44-story class A towers of the Century Plaza Towers complex. The building ownership also is developing the nearby 2000 Avenue of the Stars complex, a 790,000-sf project that will consist of a 12-story, class A office building, restaurants, a cultural center and a four-acre park.
