Andrew Ratner, Cushman & Wakefield executive managing director and West Coast regional director, describes the appointment of Raggio as part of a continuing expansion of the firm's transaction consulting group. Raggio, a veteran of 17 years in the commercial real estate industry, has beenresponsible for the structuring and analysis of complex lease, purchase, sale, and development transactions on behalf of users and investors.
Among these are more than 15 million sf of transactions on behalf of users, including leases with carried equity, off-balance sheet structured leases, build-to-suits, sale-lease-back transactions and the detailed analysis of lease-versus-buy decisions. His expertise also includes identifying and analyzing the accounting and tax effects of transaction structures.
Before joining Trammell Crow, Raggio worked for Cushman Realty Corp. and Julien J. Studley Inc. Before entering the real estate industry, he worked in the tax department at Price Waterhouse and at Security Pacific Bank's capital markets group.
