The space, adjacent to the Peoria Sports Complex where baseball spring training takes place, contains more than 40 shops, restaurants, hotels offices and high-density residential, and represents RBI's largest management assignment to date.
Situated on 92 acres at 83rd Avenue and Bell Road, the centers were completed in 2005. RBI is the first company to provide management services to the multi-retail and entertainment complex.
"We felt they offered the most value and the best service for the price of everyone who responded to our bid," Jay Cross, vice president of the developer, Arrowhead Fountainhead Centers LLC tells GlobeSt.com. Though Cross could not release specific bid information, sources say that many were invited to bid on the project.
Allen R. Bowman, director of property management with RBI Management, says the process for bidding was highly competitive and took several months to complete. "This is a high-profile property and several companies were invited to bid," he tells GlobeSt.com. "We had to return several times for presentations and follow-up."
Bowman says that specific duties performed during the one-year contract will include acting as a liaison between Arrowhead's board and the parcel owners. Other services provided will include annual budget preparation, set up of trust accounts and ensuring that the property is maintained in a first-class fashion, Bowman adds.
Tenants at the center include Residence Inn by Marriott, Harkins Theater, Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and Cheesecake Factory.
