KEANSBURG, NJ-The Kalian Cos. has started site preparation for Harbor Lights on the Bayshore, a condominium community along this Monmouth County town's Raritan Bay waterfront. Harbor Lights, which will have views of Raritan Bay and the Manhattan skyline some 20 miles to the north, will include a total of 48 units when completed.
According to Patrick Kalian, president of the Red Bank residential development firm that bears his name, the project will be "sensitive to the city's position as a waterfront community. It will be an example of the balance between effective redevelopment, architecture and planning for a waterfront location."
Presales are scheduled to begin this summer for Harbor Lights, which is expected to be completed by the summer of 2007. The community is located adjacent to this city's sandy beaches, and is near the Keansburg Boardwalk and its family-oriented attractions, such as the Keansburg Amusement Park. On-site amenities will include a pool and cabana, according to Alton Evans, Kalian's vice president of sales and marketing.
Harbor Lights is one of several projects Kalian has under way in the region at the moment. Besides the local development, the company is developing Carriage Park at Lawrence, a collection of 210 condo homes for active adults in the Mercer County township. The company is also preparing to roll out the second community in its Carriage Park series, Carriage Park at Bound Brook, in Somerset County, totaling 144 homes. Finally, Kalian is developing Saw Creek Estates, a collection of single-family homes within its Saw Creek community in Pennsylvania's Poconos.
