IRVINE, CA-Western National Property Management has named Craig Rooney a regional VP for business development, and the Koll Co. has hired Donald Wood as development manager for office and industrial properties. The two have 19 and 10 years of commercial real estate industry experience respectively.
Rooney will oversee Irvine-based Western National's third party business development, as well as the underwriting and due diligence for new acquisitions for Western National's growing portfolio properties under management. Steve Donohue, president of Western National Property Management, points out that the company has landed 10 new contracts to manage 2,657 units since December.
Rooney, a 19-year industry veteran, joined Western National Property Management in 2002. Before his promotion, he was directly responsible for more than 47 properties comprising 5,600-plus units.
Wood joins the Newport Beach-based Koll Co. after three years at Panattoni Development Co., where he also served as a development manager. Before that he was a senior project engineer and estimator with Wentz Group and held other positions at J.R. Wood Co. and Coyne Construction, both in Newport Beach.
