MANSFIELD, MA-In one of the largest headquarters transactions in the Boston area this year, Tyco Healthcare has signed leases that will give the medical device manufacturer and distributor nearly 500,000 sf at the Cabot Business Park campus. Tyco extended its lease on 315,000 sf of space at 5, 15 and 100 Hampshire St. for its headquarters and manufacturing facility. Those properties, which were acquired by Newton-based HRPT Properties Trust in 2003, are located on more than 50 acres in the Cabot Business Park.
In a separate transaction, the company inked a new lease agreement to take an additional 160,000 sf at 9-11 Hampshire St. for its offices. Set on 5.6 acres, the site, which is owned by TA Associates, consists of two attached 80,000-sf buildings. Terms of both leases were not disclosed,
Sean Teague and Henry Johnson with the Trammell Crow Co. represented Tyco. Rick Fahey and Tom Kent, also with Trammell's Boston office, represented HRPT, while John Lashar with Richards Barry Joyce & Partners handled the deal for TA Associates.
