Plans for the mall expansion include the addition of 100 new retailers, restaurants and 215 condominiums attached directly to the site. A spokesperson for Nordstrom tells GlobeSt.com that the construction project should be completed by August and will include a restaurant and espresso bar. She declined to reveal the cost. The store will be located on land north of the existing mall along Speen Street.
"We wanted to be in the Boston market for a very long time and this was the right opportunity," the spokesperson says. The Seattle-based retailer's first Boston-area location is part of a multi-store expansion effort.
