Elma Lewis Partners LLC, a group led by the National Center for Afro-American Artists, is advocating for a $350-million development that would include 300,000 sf of office space along with 300 units of market-rate and affordable housing and a 1,000-car garage. The group also plans a performing arts center as part of a second stage of development.

A second development team includes Taylor Smith Properties and Weston Associates. The group envisions a seven-building, $250-million project that will include 732,500 sf for hotel, retail and office space, along with 140 housing units and 620 parking spaces. That project would also include a jazz club and the future home of the Roxbury Community College Entrepreneurship Development Center.

Madison Park Development Corp. and Trinity Financial Inc. submitted a proposal for a 12-building, $220-million project that includes residential and student housing, and 220,000 sf of office space. It also calls for street-level retail, a Roxbury Community Cultural Center and space for both the Health Careers Academy and the Whittier Street Health Center. The BRA plans to review the proposals and schedule public meetings for community input before selecting a developer.
