BOSTON-Boston developer Donald Chiofaro is set to meet with the Boston Redevelopment Authority today to discuss preliminary plans to build a residential tower along the Rose Kennedy Greenway adjacent to the New England Aquarium. The International Place builder is currently in the process of negotiating to buy a 1,380-space parking garage which he plans to demolish and redevelop into a tower filled with residential units and underground parking, an official with the city confirmed to GlobeSt.com.

"It will probably be one of the tallest towers on the waterfront," says the official. Chiofaro could not be reached for comment by GlobeSt.com.

The garage is currently owned by Urban Growth Property Trust. Urban Growth could not be reached for comment in time for GlobeSt.com's deadline.
