The site was acquired by 550 Seabreeze Development LLC, a joint venture between the New York-based Trump Organization, Aventura-based Eugene and Stuart Kessler, and the New York-based Bayrock Group. The project's architect is locally based Oscar Garcia and the interior designer is Dianne Winovich.

Eugene Kessler tells GlobeSt.com that the project represents a departure from Trump's other, larger projects, such as the 24-story, 301-unit Trump International Hotel and Tower in Fort Lauderdale. Trump and the Bayrock Group are also collaborating on that project. "This is his first venture into a boutique project," Kessler says. "This will be a very personalized type of boutique hotel with five-star amenities."

Sales of the units have already started. Completion of the building is expected in early 2008. The building will contain studios, one- and two-bedroom suites ranging in size from 470 to 1,700 sf. Prices range from $500,000 to $3 million. Unit features will include private balconies with glass balustrades, kitchens with custom cabinetry, granite countertops and backsplashes and Italian marble baths. Building amenities will include a fitness center, swimming pool overlooking the ocean and a restaurant with an indoor/outdoor bar. "Trump Las Olas is destined to elevate the standards, and consequently the expectations, of luxury condo living in South Florida," says Trump in a prepared statement.
