VICTORVILLE, CA-Furniture Warehouse, Cost Plus World Market and Party America have signed 10-year leases totaling 50,773 sf at a former Montgomery Ward building, according to Sperry Van Ness. Vicki Donkin of Sperry Van Ness in Ontario reports that the three retailers will be located at 12400 Amargosa Rd. in the former Montgomery Ward building within the Village Center.
Donkin represented property owner REA Victorville LLC of Calabasas in the leases, with Marc Piron of Grubb &Ellis representing Furniture Warehouse, which will occupy 20,212 sf.
John Beany of Katz & Associates represented Cost Plus World Market in its 18,311-sf deal, and Anthony Mansour of the Clover Co. represented Party America in its lease for 12,250 sf.
REA Victorville LLC bought the property a little over a year ago and completed a lease with Bed, Bath & Beyond. The property, which had been vacant for five years after Ward left, was built in 1992 and totals 86,479 sf on 6.1 acres. The Village Center is a 325,000-square-foot shopping center with tenants including Best Buy, Toys R Us, PetsMart and Office Max.
