FULLERTON, CA-Sign manufacturer Traffic Control Services is consolidating its operations from four other buildings into a new headquarters that the company has purchased at 1818 E. Orangethorpe Ave. for $6.1 million, according to Voit Commercial Brokerage. The company, which manufactures custom signs for the freeway and road construction industry, formerly occupied about 40,000 sf at four separate facilities in Anaheim.

Mitch Zehner of the Anaheim Metro Office of Voit Commercial tells GlobeSt.com that Traffic Control Services owned two of the four buildings that it previously occupied and it leased space in the two others. All four of those facilities have been sold in deals that were brokered by Voit Commercial.

Zehner, along with fellow Voit brokers Louis Tomaselli and Barry Walshe of the company's Anaheim Metro Office, represented Traffic Control Services in the sign-maker's purchase of the property from Torrance-based Storm Properties. Storm is a developer and manager of a portfolio of industrial properties in Southern California. The Voit brokers also represented Storm Properties in the sale of the 1818 Orangethorpe building, which features immediate access to the 91 Freeway.

Traffic Control Services manufactures and sells freeway signs, city signs, orange safety signs, trailers with flashing lights, cones and a host of related products used in traffic control. The company's customers include large corporations and government entities as well as large, medium and small businesses in Washington, Oregon and California. The firm plans to renovate the 1818 Orangethorpe building and occupy the property in August.
