The New York City-based consulting company will set up shop Aug. 1 in 40,000 sf of temporary space at 5750 Northwest Parkway. An Accenture contact tells GlobeSt.com that the search is on for permanent space for a plan to be up and running at full steam by mid-2007.

"It's up in the air right now, but we're looking for likely spots," the company contact says, "possibly a build-to-suit location. Sometimes, we take on an already built office." Accenture has offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin.

In a press release about the ramp-up, Accenture credited the city's hardy business environment plus diverse and well-educated talent pool as reasons for the win. The Accenture source stresses a good employee base is essential for successful outsourcing operations. "This is part of our global network of delivery services," he says, "and we use a mix of local, regional and global resources to help our clients."
