Dunn, who teamed with Richard Dunn in representing landlord Corbin Northridge LP in all three of the leases, tells GlobeSt.com that all three of the new tenants are moving to the Corbin Avenue building from other locations in the San Fernando Valley. The three tenants are Holman Professional Counseling Centers, the County of Los Angeles and international communications company Harris Corp.
Holman leased 24,045 sf in a seven-year deal, Harris signed for 30,444 sf in a five-year lease and the county took 57,799 sf for 10 years. Holman is expected to move in on Aug. 1, with the county and Harris Corp. both scheduled to move in on Oct. 1.
Holman was represented by Scott Silverstein of Lee & Associates and Harris by Nathan Piehl and Brett Racanelli of Equis Corp.; the county represented itself. Harris is moving to the 9451 building from Burbank, while Holman and the county are both moving from Canoga Park.
Michael Dunn, the president of Dunn Property Group, says that leasing activity has been "tremendous" at the Corbin Avenue building since Washington Mutual vacated the space. Tenants have been attracted by the large floor plates, the abundance of parking and strong area amenities, he says.
In addition, Dunn comments, "The explosive growth in the West San Fernando Valley and the Santa Clarita Valley has made the Northridge office market a more central location for San Fernando Valley tenants."
