PATERSON, NJ-Rol Rom Foods has acquired the two-building, 91,000-sf industrial complex on four acres at 33 6th Ave. and 25-29 Shady St. here for $2.6 million, or $28.50 per sf. The distributor of dry goods and food products will relocate its headquarters and warehouse operations to the site from the company's existing location in Passaic.

The seller of the property, Daicolor USA, was represented in the transaction by David T. Houston Jr., president, and associate James Costanzo of Colliers Houston & Co., Teaneck, NJ. Daicolor, a maker of inks and coatings, had used the site for the manufacture of dyes. Rol Rom, meanwhile, was represented by Kenneth Rubin of Rubin Realty, Watchung.

Both buildings are being converted to a combination of warehouse and office use, and are slated to be occupied by Rol Rom by the end of the year. The site is in this city's Bunker Hill section, considered to be one of the oldest industrial centers in the US.
