MIRAMAR, FL-Developers have received site plan approval and have begun construction on a 250,500-sf office/industrial build-to-suit project for Coaster Co. of America in the Miramar Park of Commerce.
The one-story project will include a 15,500-sf office/showroom and 235,000 sf of 30-ft clear height warehouse space constructed with concrete tilt wall panels. The project is expected to be completed in April. "The foundation is getting ready to be poured right now," project manager Chris O'Farrell tells GlobeSt.com.
Sunbeam Development is the developer of the project. Fort Lauderdale-based Pasquale Kuritzky Architecture is the architect on the project. The general contractor is Excell Construction, the structural engineering consultant is Braga Blaney Associates, Inc., the mechanical electrical plumbing engineer is Delta G. Engineering Inc., the civil engineer is Flynn Engineering and the landscape architect is Murakami Landscape Architects. "This is one of the largest tilt wall projects that will be built this year in Broward County," says Pasquale Kuritzky Architects vice president Harlan Kuritzky.
Coaster Co. of America is an importer and distributor of "ready to assemble" furniture and accessories in the US and Mexico. The company distributes and sells it products through a network of seven warehouses located in Atlanta, New Jersey, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Miramar. After the project is completed, the company will relocate existing operations at the Miramar Park of Commerce into the new building.
