Yoder steps into shoes vacated two months ago by the division's founder, Martin Peck, who along with another TCC principal Brant Bernet has formed a specialty brokerage practice for critical facilities. Yoder is taking the helm to a 35-member tenant rep team and turning over reins to a 12-broker office leasing team to newly hired managing director Moody Younger, whose primary role is to oversee institutional business for project leasing, capital markets and property management.
Yoder, who joined TCC four years ago, says his skills are "fairly transferable" from two decades of working the other side of the street. What he is planning, though, is to put more emphasis on local business development. TCC's corporate advisory services group has mortared its foundation with high-profile national accounts. "It has been a huge contribution to our business," he says about the division. "We want to continue to grow and gain market share." Large law and accounting firms are high on Yoder's priority list.
Yoder has jumped into talks with several professionals to join TCC corporate services' team. "We look to expand the group and make some high-profile hires in the coming months," he says. In the not too distant future, "two or three" more tenant reps will come on board.
With the promotion, Yoder gets a new office. He's vacating his long-time spot in 2100 Ross Ave. and moving across the street to Trammell Crow Center.
