OXNARD, CA-Leading Industry Inc., a maker of plastic packaging for the retail, medical and food industries, has acquired two buildings totaling 194,277 sf for $13.4 million. The company's new facilities are at 1151 and 1351 Pacific Ave. in the Channel Islands Business Center.

The buildings will house the buyer's office, manufacturing and warehousing operations, according to Mitch Conlee of GVA Daum, who represented Leading Industry in the purchase of the buildings from Pegh Investments LLC. The new buildings will accommodate the company's expansion plans and allow it to effectively double in size as it serves a growing list of clients, Conlee says. The seller was represented by Robert Flink and Robert Shafer, now with Lee & Associates.

In another recently closed deal including office and industrial space, Kids from the Valley LLC bought a 72,000-sf property called Warner Business Park East at 21120 Vanowen St. in Canoga Park for $14.6 million. The buyer was represented by Ron Feder of the Calabasas office of Lee & Associates.

Seller 21120 Vanowen Associates was represented by Scott Silverstein of the Lee Calabasas office and Chris Dorland of Lee's Sherman Oaks office. The business park was built in 1971 and consists of is 98 % leased.
