Cooper along with former Studley head Greg Biggs are the two biggest hires year to date for the 36-broker office, of which 16 are tenant reps like the two recent hires. Cooper has exited CB Richard Ellis, which he joined as a senior vice president after its 2003 takeover of Insignia/ESG Inc.

"I anticipate more people will come on board before the end of the year, Elizabeth Trocchio, C&W's executive managing director and regional manager, tells GlobeSt.com. She says one to six more brokers could be added before the year ends. "It's really about quality not quantity," she stresses. "It's not a numbers game for me. If it's the right fit and the right talent, then I'm all for hiring quality-producing professionals."

Cooper, with 23 years' experience, joins Biggs on the tenant rep side. To date this year, the powerbroker, who keeps his deals out of the press' view, has closed more than $250 million of transactions totaling 1.37 million sf. In addition to working the streets for C&W, he will be on its broker advisory board.

In a prepared statement, Rich Pogue, CBRE's executive managing director in Dallas, says "we appreciate Randy's service and dedication to CBRE over the past few years and wish him well in his future endeavors."
