PATERSON, NJ-In a transaction involving two headquarters relocations, the 24,000-sf industrial building at 803 East 27 St. here has been sold. Han Kim of Grubb & Ellis' Fairfield office represented both the buyer and the seller. The sale price was not disclosed.
The owner/occupier of the entire building, which has three exterior loading docks and 16-ft clear height, is shedding the property because it's relocating its headquarters to North Carolina. For Cumins Industries, an industrial fabric manufacturer, the move follows the establishment of a 60,000-sf manufacturing facility in Liberty, NC in 2002.
The buyer, Winners LLC, meanwhile, will occupy the entire building as its new headquarters site. The apparel company is moving here from its current home in New York City.
"Close and easy access to I-80 was the key determinant in the purchase of this property," Kim says.
