COSTA MESA, CA-Shopping center developer and investor Donahue Schriber, with a $500-million development pipeline and plans to add 22 centers, has created new roles for two of its executives to help manage the company's growth. Mark Whitfield will take on a new role as EVP of development services and Dave Mossman will become EVP of acquisitions and development.

The company plans to add the 22 centers to its targeted market area of California, Nevada and Arizona over the next three years, according to Pat Donahue, president and CEO of Donahue Schriber. The centers under development and being planned mark the company's highest level of development activity in its 37-year history, Donahue says.

Whitfield, a 16-year company veteran and a member of its executive committee for six years, will focus in his new role on the entitlement, design and construction of the four million sf of retail space in the immediate production pipeline as well as due diligence and physical underwriting of new acquisition and development opportunities. Mossman, former VP of development for Northern and Central California, in his new role will oversee the teams responsible for bringing in new opportunities throughout the Western US and will join the company's executive committee.

Donahue remarks that Whitfield and Mossman have both played significant roles during the company's recent five-year growth spurt. Whitfield led the company's acquisition and development teams through the development or acquisition of 40 properties, and Mossman's team drove the bulk of that activity, producing more than $300 million in value.

Donahue Schriber is a private REIT that owns and/or operates a portfolio of 70 neighborhood, community, power and community lifestyle shopping centers in California, Nevada and Arizona. The company's centers total more than 12 million sf.
