Also renewing was the law firm Zazzali, Fagella, Nowak, Kleinbaum & Friedman is a deal involving a total of 8,000 sf. Finally, combined leasing activity involving more than 18,000 sf was chalked up with Everest Technology; HDR Engineering; URS Corp., an engineering design firm; Troutman Sanders, a law firm; and LeBoeuf, also a law firm.
"We have witnessed a new surge of interest in One Riverfront Plaza," says Hilary Budney, vice president of the Cranbury-based Matrix. "The building continues to be at the center of activity within Newark's business and legal community."
The 20-story class A tower, which is connected by pedestrian skyway to both Newark Penn Station and the multi-tower Gateway office and hotel complex, will have a block of about 100,000 sf becoming available next month. That's when the law firm Gibbons, DelDeo, Dolan, Griffinger & Vecchione vacates its space, moving just across the street to One Gateway Center.
