HIGHLAND PARK, IL-Metzler US Real Estate Fund LP has purchased Renaissance Place, a mixed-use center, for $55 million from Davis Street Land Co. LLC. The 218,000-sf property, developed by Davis Street and completed in 2000, is in the heart of Downtown Highland Park.

The 82,000 sf of ground-level retail space is currently 99% leased, and tenants include Saks Fifth Avenue, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Williams-Sonoma, Talbots and Starbucks. The property also includes 30 one and two-bedroom apartments and 51,000 sf office space.

Jones Lang LaSalle managing directors Lawrence Krasner and David Doupe, along with vice president Cheri Pierce, represented the seller in the deal. The buyer was represented in-house.

Davis Street is based in Evanston. The Metzler fund is run by Seattle-based Metzler North America, an affiliate of Bankhaus Metzler of Germany.
