The China Bistros accounted for $201 million in total sales, while revenues at the 107-unit, fast-casual Pei Wei Asian Diner were $50.2 million. Same-store sales at Pei Wei fell 0.7% during the quarter.

Meanwhile, the company opened its first Taneka Japanese Tavern, in Scottsdale, on Oct. 2. The new unit accounted for about $700,000 of the quarter's revenues. P.F. Chang's also opened 10 China Bistros and 10 Pei Weis during its Q4.

The fourth quarter's drop in same-store sales follows a third-quarter, 0.5% dip at the China Bistros and 1.5% slide at Pei Wei. Revenues in the third quarter were up by 14% from the prior year.

The management of locally based P.F. Chang's expects to release the fourth quarter's full earnings results on Feb. 14.
