SAUK VILLAGE, IL-Warehouse Specialists Inc. has upped its lease to 516,072 sf at the DP Partners-owned LogistiCenter at Sauk Village. The Appleton, WI-based company expanded by 207,790 sf of additional space at Building C, 21700 Mark Collins Dr.

In August 2005, the company leased 308,282 sf of space in the first spec building, a 412,615-sf, multi-tenant facility at the 325-acre park. In summer 2006, DP completed a 364,805-sf expansion that increased the size of the building to 776,420 sf, featuring 32-foot, clear-height ceilings, office space, 103 trailer stalls, 60 truck docks or 12 rail doors and 24 dual-lead rail spots.

The company will use the expanded space to accommodate demand for its third-party logistics business, which includes the distribution of paper, both rolls and flat stock, using the park's rail and truck routes. Gerald Sullivan, principal of Chicago-based Paine/Wetzel Associates Inc., represented the company in the lease transaction. The park is bounded by IL-394, Cottage Grove Avenue, Sauk Trail, and is served by the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern railway.
