Designed by architect Bill Hellmuth of HOK, 700 Sixth St. will have an open floor plan to allow for flexible space planning, the spokeswoman says. The building will also incorporate sustainable design features including a green roof.
The building is "one of the last developable sites for an office project in this popular area and we look forward to breaking ground very soon," says Akridge president Matthew Klein in a statement.
Akridge and Mitsui Fudosan America have partnered in other development ventures before. The firm is an investment partner in 1090 Vermont Ave., a building that Akridge manages.
