The latest acquisition is Unit 9 within Blanchardstown Corporate Park in Dublin. The purchase price was $46.92 million (36.3 million euros). Unit 9 is a 120,000-sf datacenter facility that is 90% leased and was already being managed by Digital Realty Trust.

The building under construction also is a 120,000-sf datacenter. The facility is being built on 2.6 acres the company owns in the Clonshaugh Industrial Estate. The land came with its it early-2006 acquisition of a 20,000-sf datacenter facility within the Estate.

Including the facility under construction, Digital Realty CEO Michael Foust says the company now has approximately 1 million sf in seven properties in Europe, which he describes as a growth market for the company. The remainder of the company's 11.5 million-sf portfolio is located in the US.
