Post-Merger Changes Go Into Play in Arizona

C&W has hired 12 former TCC professionals, including East Valley experts Mark Gustin, Karsten Peterson and Dave Seeger. Coming on board the on industrial side are Aric Adams, Mark Detmer, Mike Goldwater, Mike Kasulaitis and Bo Mills. Meanwhile, Blaine Black, Brian Black, Bryan Johnson and Sam Murik have joined C&W's corporate services and office properties operations.

"Cushman & Wakefield has steadily increased its presence in metro Phoenix over the years," Tom Johnston, C&W's senior managing director in the region, says in a press release statement about the hires. "The addition of these particular agents increases the depth of our client offerings and market expertise in every area of expansive metro Phoenix." Johnston was unavailable for comment before press time.

CBRE senior managing director Gregory Coxon isn't surprised that some former TCC managers have ended up elsewhere. While many TCC employees opted to stay with the CBRE, Coxon acknowledges the corporate culture might not have been everyone's cup of tea. "Some didn't have the comfort level here and everyone made selections on where they fit in best," he tells GlobeSt.com. "I'm delighted by what we got out of this. It was more than we anticipated."

As a result of the merger, CBRE has made its own changes, including naming former TCC area director Craig Henig as a managing director. Coxon takes on additional duties as local market area leader while senior managing director Pete Bolton's new duty roster includes overseeing CBRE's National Learning Center in Chicago.

Coxon says no more changes are anticipated for CBRE's Phoenix staff. "The music's stopped and everyone's found a chair they're going to be in," he says.
