Bidding goodbye to the CBRE camp are Jack Minter, Jack Crews, John Alvarado and Seth Bame. In all, the big-ticket earnings team represents nearly 80 years of industry experience. The brokerage team has been heavily courted by the industry since the merger. CBRE has declined to comment on the team's exit.

Minter had been TCC's long-time managing director and national director of investment services. Crews was a principal; Alvarado, a senior vice president; and Bame, the newest member and an associate. The team's black book of institutional clients and track record as high-volume dealmakers year after year made it a prized plum to be cherry-picked in the merger's inevitable fallout.

The team begins today. The addition practically doubles the JLL sales team in Dallas, which consists of Evan Stone, Kelly Branum, Stephen Luik and Angie Carver.

The wedding of the CBRE and TCC office investment sales teams created a stickling point since both companies had equally strong groups. CBRE's Gary Carr and Russell Ingrum hold the same prominence in the industry as TCC's Minter, Crews and Alvarado, setting up a scenario of long-time competitors now being asked to share the playing field for pitching new deals. Insiders recognize the breakaway allows the temporarily interrupted game to continue as before.
